AVA Group Presented a Startup Integration Model at RIF-2025

The session, titled “The Matryoshka Effect: Best Learning Practices for IT Talent Growth and Development,” focused on the role of corporate education in retaining specialists and fostering innovation.

In his talk, Aleksanyan described AVALAB’s practices, which rely on a “talent funnel” and an “ideas funnel.” He said the holding company, which operates in several industries, turns the classic “buy or build” staffing dilemma into a competitive advantage.

“We take real tasks from the holding and give them to teams. If a solution proves stronger than market alternatives, we bring the product to market,” Aleksanyan explained.

AVALAB’s approach is based on “learning by doing.” The company assigns individual mentors, uses the expertise of in-house specialists, and jointly builds go-to-market strategies.

“You cannot force people to learn if they are not ready. For young specialists, support and hands-on experience matter more than expecting finished solutions,” he added.

Over three years, AVALAB has launched four products: Avalin, digital twins for real estate assets; Itrielt, a platform for working with agents that brings together more than 40,000 professionals; Top-Market, a logistics service linking manufacturers and processors; and FastBoard, a domestic BI platform for instant analytics and management decisions.

AVALAB’s experience shows that investment in education and a talent ecosystem works as a strategic tool for creating new products and ensuring sustainable business development in the digital age.

AVALAB is the IT unit of the AVA Group investment and construction holding. It develops digital solutions for various sectors of the economy, supports the regional IT community, and helps technology startups.
